Located in Confluence Park in Delta is the Bill Heddles Recreation Center. Open to the public in Delta, Colorado, the Bill Heddles Recreation Center is the center for fitness in Delta. Bill Heddles Recreation Center Activity Update:
Tae Kwon Do:
Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 pm, Drop-in or Register by the month.
Healthy Body, Strong Bones:
Adult Fitness Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 9 am until 10 am.
On Wednesdays from 5 pm until 6:15 pm, Drop-in fee.
Tai Chi/Qigong For Health and Longevity:
On Mondays at 7 pm, Drop-in fee.
Personal Training Sessions:
Register now for Personal Training Sessions at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center with one of our six certified trainers. Individual Sessions or 4 one-hour sessions for $100.

Spring Into Shape 5K Fun Run/ Walk:
This annual 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held on Confluence Lake Trail, Saturday April 12 at 9:30 am. Check In starts at 8:00 am. Cost before March 31 is $25 per person with a T-shirt. Cost after March 31 is $30 per person with a T-shirt if available, or $25 per person with out a T-Shirt.
This class provides individuals wishing to own a handgun with the proper requirements necessary to acquire a concealed handgun permit. Individual firing instruction is provided at a local firing range in the afternoon. Dates are Saturday April 5, April 12, or May 31 from 9 am – 5 pm. Cost is $70, pre-register by 5 pm, three days before your class.
SilverSneakers Fitness Program:
SilverSneaker “Classic” every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Have fun and move to the music! Stand or sit while alternating hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball to non-impact aerobic choreography. The program is designed to increase: muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.
Senior Circuit Class:
This class is done in the weight room. Format includes use of weight machine with intervals of upper/lower body strengthen and flexibility exercises all done to great musical selections.
Times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9- 10:15 am
Tuesday: 2- 3 pm.
Rookies (Pitching Machine):
Registration for boys ages 7 and 8, Pitching Machine League is going on now until April 11 at Bill Heddles Recreation Center (age as of April 30 of the current year). Practices will be in May and games will be in June. The enrollment fee is $40 (if there is room, there is a $10 late fee after deadline).
Little Ladies’ Softball 7 and 8 year olds:
Registration for girls ages 7 and 8 Little Ladies Softball League is going on now until April 11 at Bill Heddles REcreation Center, age is as of December 31, 2013. Practices will be in April and games will be in mid May. The enrollment fee is $40 (if there is room, there is a $10 late fee after deadline).
Little Ladies’ Softball 9 to 10 year olds:
Registration for girls ages 9- 12, Little Ladies’ Softball League is going on now until March 28 at Bill Heddles Recreation Center, age is as of December 31, 2013. Practices will be in April and games will be in mid May. The enrollment fee is $50 (if there is room, there is a $10 late fee after deadline).
Registration for both boys and girls 4, 5, and 6 year old T-Ball league is open now and goes on until April 11 at Bill Heddles Rec Center. Team practices will start in early May and the games will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in early June. The enrollment fee is $35 (if there is room, there is a $10 late fee after deadline).
Adult Summer Softball League:
Register your team before April 18 at Bill Heddles Recreation Center for the City of Delta’s Adult Summer Softball League. Play will begin the week of May 5 at Mountain View Park. You can expect a minimum of 10 games including the season end double elimination tournament that will be played on a regular league night. Six different league choices are offered: Monday, recreational coed silver league; Tuesday, recreation coed gold; Wednesday, Men’s fast slow pitch (mininum of 4 teams required); Thursday, men’s competitive slow pitch, women’s slow pitch. The team fee is $275. Each player is also required to pay a $20 player’s fee the first night of league play.
Adult Soccer League:
Register your team by April 28 for Adult Soccer League. Season will begin in mid May and Saturday afternoons. Games will be played at Cottonwood Soccer Fields. Cost is $300 per team and each player is also required to pay a $20 player’s fee and sign a roster to be eligible to play.
Tae Kwon Do:
Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 pm, Drop-in or Register by the month. Self Control & Self Defense. What can you gain from Martial Arts? You stay in shape, meet new people, have better flexibility, increased agility, improved integrity, self confidence, leg strength, and diligence. Ages 9 and up. Cost: $30 per month or $5 for dropping in for the class.
Little Dragons Karate:
For ages 5- 8 taught by Sensei Rodeny Grantham, on Saturdays, March 15- April 26 (no class on April 5) from 11- 11:45 am or 12- 12:45 pm. Cost is $20. Any questions, please contact Gary West at 874-0923
