Grand Mesa

In our backyard sits the Grand Mesa, the largest flat topped mountain in the world at an area of about 500 square miles.  Located just 35 miles north west of Montrose and 40 miles east of Grand Junction, the mesa sits about 10,000 feet in elevation.  With over 300 lakes and reservoirs makes the Grand Mesa a four season recreational opportunity from back country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter to hiking, fishing, camping, and mountain biking in the summer.  Spring can come late to the Mesa with high snow depth and limited road access.
