Drive-thru Flu Shot Clinic Returns to Delta Health
Delta, CO (September 13, 2022) – Delta Health announced today the return of their drive-through flu shot clinic happening on October 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Hospital located at 1501 East 3rd Street in Delta.
The drive-through clinic will be accepting insurance, cash, or check for the vaccinations. The regular flu shot, for those 18 years or older, is free with most insurances or is $20. The high-dose flu shot (for ages 65 and older) is free with most insurances or $60.
“We are excited to bring the drive-through flu clinic option back to the community this year,” said Matt Heyn, President and CEO of Delta Health. “We started this back in 2020 as a way to continue providing necessary care during the pandemic. It was a great success, and we decided to bring it back this year.”
The clinic will be available while supplies last. There is no appointment necessary.
As in past years, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)recommends September and October as the optimal times to get vaccinated for the flu. This can provide the most protection during the peak flu season.
