Delta, CO (June 14, 2024) – Delta Health is excited to announce the opening of a new Behavioral Health Center and an Urgent Care Clinic on July 1 located at 70 Stafford Avenue where Delta Health Family Medicine is currently located. Delta Health Family Medicine will be relocating to 296 Stafford Avenue (next to Delta Health Pediatrics) on the Delta Health campus.
“Not only will this move increase the much-needed space for Family Medicine as they continue to grow, but it will also help as we work to create access to care for the community,” said Vickie Moore, Delta Health Executive Director of Clinic Operations. “The community made it clear to us in 2021, when we had to close the Urgent Care Clinic, that they wanted that option for care. We are happy to be back to a place organizationally where we can reopen.”
Earlier this year, Delta Health recognized the critical importance of quickly expanding behavioral health services when Integrated Insight Therapy closed. Since then, Delta Health has responded to the urgent needs of patients by adding four Behavioral Health Therapists to the existing primary care clinic team and two Peer Support Specialists in the Emergency Department.
“With all the strides we’ve taken as an organization to address the behavioral health crisis in our communities, it was a natural next step to create a Behavioral Health Center,” said Moore.
As Delta Health’s commitment to behavioral health within the community grew, the need for a center to be able to provide longer-term therapy options was evident.
“We look forward to expanding behavioral health services even further and eventually recruiting a psychiatric provider to collaborate with Delta Health primary care providers in addressing the psychiatric medication needs of patients,” said Moore. “We are confident that these new clinics will significantly enhance our ability to serve the community, ensuring comprehensive and accessible care for all.”
